b-ark-chrome is a Chrome browser extension that backs up your blipfoto journal entries and images to a folder on your own device. This policy explains what data the extension handles and what happens to it.

What data the extension handles
To back up your blipfoto journal, the extension:
- Authenticates you to blipfoto using OAuth 2.0 and stores the resulting access token, encrypted with AES-GCM, in your browser's local extension storage.
- Fetches your journal entries, metadata, and images from the blipfoto API and its associated content delivery infrastructure.
- Writes that content to a local folder on your device that you select.
- Stores extension settings and backup status in your browser's local extension storage.
Where your data goes
Nowhere except your own device. The extension communicates only with blipfoto's
own servers (api.blipfoto.com and associated infrastructure) to
retrieve your content. It does not send your data, your blipfoto credentials,
your journal content, or any usage information to the developer or any third
party. No analytics, crash reporting, or telemetry of any kind is collected.
What is stored and where
All extension state (settings, backup status, encrypted token) is held in
chrome.storage.local on your device. Your access token is stored
encrypted; the encryption key is held in your browser's IndexedDB and never
leaves your device. Your backed-up journal content is written to the local folder
you choose. Nothing is synced to your Google account or any remote storage.
blipfoto's own privacy practices
When you authenticate and when the extension fetches your journal, your requests are processed by blipfoto's servers under blipfoto's own privacy policy. This extension has no control over blipfoto's data practices.
Your rights
Because this extension holds no data about you on any server the developer controls, there is nothing for the developer to retrieve, correct, or delete on your behalf. All data held by the extension exists on your own device and is under your control. You can remove it at any time by uninstalling the extension or deleting the backup folder.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially, the updated version will be published at this URL with a revised date at the top.
